Another shoot with my friend Cindy (Rose Gold Whimsy) as the model!
First of all, this shoot happened A WHILE ago. I'm talking about before semester 2 of university started which makes these photos to be about a month and a half old. (So sorry!)
As most of you know, I am back at uni this semester and this time the course is pretty much project-based so I have been more than busy lately. Good busy though!
The theme was a sad bride who was left by her groom. Maybe the groom just never turned up at the altar, or maybe he left the world... The idea is that she's gone back to places where they've made memories and she's reminiscing all the good times while realising that he's not there anymore.
Anyway, lets kick start this series of photographs with my favourite shot from the shoot:
Though this isn't exactly a portrait, it captures the sadness, innocence, delicateness and elegance of a young bride. I was definitely excited when I saw this frame during the shoot!
We decided to use the Blue House as one of our backgrounds as it is an iconic wedding photography location here in Perth. The place is associated with romantic scenes and elegant white dresses...
We then continued on to Matilda Bay - I mean, that place is just beautiful around sunrise. I shot the scenery there during a sunrise with my dad before and the view is just breathtaking. See the post here.
So awesome of Cindy to withstand mid-winter sunrise in that dress. I was wearing 4 layers of clothes and I was still cold. She's a champ! Not to mention a very pretty one at that!
What do you think of this concept? Do you like the pictures?
